I'm Just a Little Bit Overwhelmed

I know I must be breaking some blog rule for creating two posts in one day, but I'm on vacation now and I finally have some time (well, at least a little bit!) I'm changing grade levels, so that means changing classrooms. Well, the classroom I am moving into has been vacant this year. The whole school has used it for small group instruction, reteaching, storage, etc. Anyways, our district has also adopted a new reading program (Journeys) so all the new book materials were piled into that room as well. Then, the first grade teacher who is leaving decided to put all her junk materials that she didn't want or thought I would need. And then to top it off, the Kindergarten teacher who is moving to first grade as well, had to put her stuff somewhere, and guess who's classroom it ended up in. I can hardly get through the door there is so much stuff in that room. I'm just a little overwhelmed at the task of cleaning and organizing it all. I took a few pics the other day before I left just so later on I can hopefully have a dramatic before and after moment.

What do you think? Would you be overwhelmed as well? Wish me luck!!

  1. Yes, I think I would be a bit over whelmeled too!! Don't let it run your summer vacation. Go in a little at at time and organize and clean! It always gets done before those little darlings walk through the door on the first day. On a side note- I just found your blog! I love it! I am your newest follower.

  3. Girl, I've been there... 3 times in 4 years!! And I only have two weeks to set my classroom up each year. My advice: Don't be afraid to throw things away!! Good luck! You'll be fine!
